Samantha Replaced By Aditi Rao In ‘maha Samudram’

There has been a lot of drama happening over director Ajay Bhupathi’s next action entertainer ‘Maha Samudram’ in the past few months.Ravi Teja was the first who was supposed to do the film.

But later he backed out of the project due to some differences with director Ajay.Then the project went to Naga Chaitanya but he had to let go of this film due to prior commitments.

Now currently Sharwanand is confirmed to do the film.

Much to this is another story where Samantha who was finalized to play the female lead opposite Sharwanand has reportedly opted out of this film as Sharwa and Sam’s recent release ‘Jaanu’ failed miserably and turned out to be one of their biggest flops in their careers.

Though the film received positive reviews from critics, it failed to translate into box office numbers for Dil Raju and team.

Now the latest update is that Mani Ratnam’s ‘Cheliya’ fame Aditi Rao Hydari will be playing the female lead opposite Sharwanand in this film.Aditi scored decent hits in the form of ‘Sammohanam’ and ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ (‘Nawab’ in Telugu) and is currently playing a key role in ‘V’ which has Nani and Sudheer Babu in the lead.She is also working with Mani Ratnam for the third time on ‘Ponniyan Selvan’ after ‘Cheliyaa’ and ‘Nawab’.

Other interesting news is that Siddharth will be doing an important role in this film where Sharwanand is expected to essay the role of a gangster.Sharwa will join the shoot sometime in June while Aditi Rao Hydari is on her way to the film’s shoot in Hyderabad.Chaitan Bharadwaj of ‘RX-100’ fame has been signed up to compose the tunes which is being produced by Senior producer Gemini Kiran.
