She appeared smoking cigarette for second role in the film.Samantha was seen puffing out smoke through her nose, like a thorough professional.
When a fan tweeted Samantha’s smoking pictures from the film, Sam replied to him saying, “who knew playing evil could be such fun !!! Loved it !!”
Now the same act of Sam landed her in trouble.Tamil Hindu right wing party Hindu Makkal Katchi took offense of those pictures and demanded apology from Samantha.
The HMK’s state secretary Veera Manikyam Siva accused the actress of endorsing smoking and added that the act will actor’s act will lead many women to follow suit.He further stated that party will stage a protest in front of her residence if she fails to tender an apology.
He threatened that they will send her cigarette and tobacco packets if she fails to comply with their demands.
