She had just announced her separation from her husband, Naga Chaitanya.At that time, she was offered a song called Oo Antava oo oo Antava for the movie Pushpa: The Rise.
Despite the difficult circumstances she was going through, Samantha decided to accept the offer to do the song.She revealed that her friends and family had advised her not to do it, as they felt it was not appropriate to take up such a project after announcing her separation.
However, Samantha decided to go ahead with the song anyway, as she felt it was a good opportunity for her.
Samantha and Naga Chaitanya were a popular couple in South Indian cinema.They got divorced in 2021, which left their fans heartbroken.But Samantha has been focusing on her work, and she has several exciting projects in the pipeline.
Besides Shaakuntalam, she has also announced that she will be starring in Kushi with Vijay Deverkonda.The romantic drama was originally supposed to be released in December 2022 but has been postponed to September 2023.
