Tollywood actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is excitedly anticipating the release of her upcoming film, Shaakuntalam, where she portrays the lead character of Shaakuntalam, based on the play Abhignyana Shakuntalam by Kalidasa.
As part of the film’s promotional activities, Samantha posted a video on Instagram where she shared five surprising facts about the movie.That video has gone viral now.In that video, one of the things she shared was that she developed an allergy to flowers during the film’s shooting.
During the filming, Samantha had to wear flower ornaments on her arms and neck.She shot all day without any problems, but in the evening, she noticed an imprint of the flower on her arm.The imprint looked like a flower tattoo, and it lasted for six months.She tried different methods to remove it but eventually, it went away on its own.
Apart from the flower allergy, Samantha also revealed that she was bitten by a rabbit during the shoot.She said that rabbits are not as cute as they seem.
In the film, Samantha wears custom-made lehengas, which are traditional Indian skirts.One of the lehengas she wore weighed 30 kilograms, and she had to wear it for a dance sequence.
She found it challenging to spin and move around in the heavy dress, and it often took her out of the frame.She had to retake the dance sequence several times because of this.
Shaakuntalam is a period film set in ancient India, and it features a stellar cast that includes Dev Mohan, Mohan Babu, Gautami, Madhoo, Aditi Balan, and Ananya Nagalla.Allu Arjun’s daughter, Allu Arha, also makes an appearance in the movie.The film is written and directed by Gunasekhar.
