Los Angeles, Aug 19 : Salma Hayek and Annie Murphy are in talks to be the lead actors in the upcoming season of “Black Mirror”.
Based on the ‘Variety’ show the dystopian Netflix series is building a star-studded cast of actors for its long-awaited Season 6, with Hayek and Murphy the latest actors scheduled to join the show.

Variety has previously reported that Zazie Beetz has been signed for the new season.Paapa Essiedu Josh Hartnett, Aaron Paul, Kate Mara, Danny Ramirez, Clara Rugaard, Auden Thornton as well as Anjana Vasan.

Rory Culkin, who was last appeared in the FX series “Under the Banner of Heaven” and is now a part of the show, the publication reported in a report citing “Deadline”.

Hayek recently wrapped up Angelina Jolie’s upcoming film “Without Blood” which is currently filming in Italy and also stars in Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming “Magic Mike’s Last Dance”.

She also appeared in Ridley Scott’s “House of Gucci” and Marvel’s “Eternals”.

A Hayek-produced show about the passing of Argentina’s Eva Peron, titled “Santa Evita” was aired on Disney’s Star last month.

And, Murphy, who is most well-known for her Emmy-winning role in the role of Alexis Rose on CBC and Netflix’s “Schitt’s Creek” she also starred in the upcoming season of Netflix’s “Russian Doll” as well as in the upcoming season of Netflix’s “Kevin Can F*** himself”.

“Variety” first announced that the new season of “Black Mirror” was in the making in the back in May, but specific details about the story remain secret.

It was clear from the beginning, however it was known from the beginning that Season 6 would have more episodes than Season 5, which comprised only three episodes.The show featured Andrew Scott, Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Topher Grace and Miley Cyrus.

“Black Mirror” was first aired on UK broadcaster Channel 4, where it was aired for two seasons prior to changing to the streaming company and getting more international audience.
