CAIT stated in a statement that an FIR was filed in connection to this matter on November 20, 1985 under the NDPS Act.

CAIT reported that the Visakhapatnam Police has also arrested two Amazon courier boys.

Madhya Pradesh police also recovered 17kg marijuana from Amazon and its associates. An FIR was registered at Mehgoan Police Station, under the NDPS Act 1985, and one suspect has been taken into custody.

CAIT demanded that Visakhapatnam’s police register a case in accordance with Section 38 of the NDPS Act, just as the Bhind police.

B.C., CAIT’s national president has described Amazon as a “Ganja Company”.Bhartia, Secretary General Praveen and Khandelwal demanded that the government immediately stop Amazon from operating in India. They also requested the arrest of Amazon employees and the filing of a case against them for treason.

Khandelwal and Bhartia urged Prime Minister NarendraModi to immediately intervene in this matter.

CAIT also requested Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal immediately to release the ecommerce rules and policy, as well as a press note that replaces press note No.2.of the FDI Policy, to regulate the conduct of e-commerce businesses in India.

Khandelwal and Bhartia have asked the Centre for an in-depth and comprehensive investigation into the business models of large ecommerce platforms, such as Amazon. This will ensure that there is no illegal sale or any anti-national activity and that liability can be imposed on all marketplaces involved in selling prohibited items, directly or indirectly.

Khandelwal and Bhartia said these illegal acts on Amazon’s ecommerce platform reflect the ineligibility of Indian ecommerce businesses in India without any particular rule or law. This is an unfortunate state in India’s administrative system.

CAIT stated that the Centre’s role and the state governments are under scrutiny, as well as the silence of all political parties regarding this matter.

It’s regrettable that nobody has addressed the problem seriously, despite the fact that CAIT (and other organizations) have raised serious concerns.
