After a power-packed debut with Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg 3’ last December, actress Saiee Manjrekar is all set to star in her next film which will have Tollywood hero Adivi Sesh playing the lead role.The latest we hear is that Saiee Manjrekar has been signed to play a key role in a bilingual titled ‘Major’ directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka.
‘Major’ is based on the life of Major Unni Krishnan who lost his life in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, the film stars Telugu actor Adivi Sesh as Major Unnikrishnan with ‘Made in Heaven’ star Sobhita Dhulipala playing a pivotal role.
The actress Saiee took to her social media profile and dropped the deeds on the project.She shared, “Honoured, humbled and excited to be a part of the braveheart, Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s biopic.
It’s a film based on the NSG Commando, who fought with utmost bravery in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.Can’t wait to join the cast and start shooting next month! #MajorTheFilm”.
The team has already started shooting for the film and Manjrekar will join them next month in Hyderabad.The project is being produced by Sony Pictures Films India in association with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment and A+S Movies.
The film has completed 50% of its shoot already and the film is eyeing for a Summer 2021 release.Keep watching this space for more updates!
