Seoul, December 27 : South Korea’s National Intelligence Service raised Monday an alarm over the possible cou.According to Yonhap News Agency, the NIS published a photograph of a counterfeit bill that was similar in appearance and deceptive features to a supernote.
It stated that a counterfeit of $50 has yet to be found in South Korea but is still being circulated in Asia.
NIS intends to share pertinent information with relevant authorities such as the Bank of Korea or the Korea Customs Service.
A NIS official stated that there are good chances it would flow to South Korea because of increased foreign currency demand at the Beijing Olympics, February 2019.
