New Delhi, Nov 28, : The winter session could be turbulent as the opposition has set up to block the government on issues such as Pegasus, Chinese intrusion and farm laws. The Upper House will also pay tribute to Oscar Fernandes (a former member of Congress), who died recently.
The new members of the House will swear in and the minister for parliamentary affairs will give a statement on government business.
The government has submitted “The Dam Safety Bill, 2019, for consideration and passage”
Some members have decided that they will petition the House to urge them to save the rivers of the country.
Subhash Chandra Singh, Biju Janata Dal, will bring the matter up in the House.
“Subhash Chandra Singh will present to the House, a petition by Bibhudhendrapratap Das, President of Odisha Krushak Mahasangha, Shri Manas Ranjan Bboo, President Seva Samiti residents of Bhubaneswar, Odisha) praying for the preservation and revitalization of the dying rivers throughout the country,” the RS bulletin stated.
