Mumbai, January 1, 2008 : .In view of rising Covid cases in the country, and tightening civil restrictions, Ram Charan’s makers and Jr.NTR’s starrer ‘RRR,’ decided to delay the film’s release until further notice. S.S.Rajamouli, film director flew to Mumbai earlier in the day for a meeting of all the involved parties.DVV Entertainment shared the outcome with the film’s stakeholders.
The tweet read, “Keeping all parties involved in the picture’s best interest in mind, we have to delay our film.
We are grateful to everyone who supported our film and for the unconditional support.#RRRPostponed #RRRMovie”.
According to the company’s creative, it was stated that “In spite of our tireless efforts, certain situations are beyond our control.” We are forced to request that you keep your enthusiasm as many Indian States are closing their theatres.”The Glory of Indian Cinema” was our promise, and we will deliver it.
Karan Taurani, a media analyst and internet researcher, stated that the change would have a negative impact on exhibitors.He also said that it could delay other Hindi or regional films slated for January.The cash burn for chains will increase substantially, even though cinemas will not be open with large-scale content because it is a high-operating leverage business.
Only large-scale content was driving greater footfalls over the past 3-4 months.
He said that a big film is unlikely to release until at least March/April on the current normalcy.

More restrictions will be introduced by states in the days ahead.Some will place a limit on occupancy while others will close the theatres.
Tickets pricing is another issue facing Andhra Pradesh.Many theatre owners have closed down in protest at the crackdown by the state government on increasing refreshment and ticket prices.
They claim that this price limit is reducing their profit margins and preventing the revival of the cinemas.
The Delhi government, led by Arvind Kejriwal, recently sent a yellow warning asking all cinemas in Delhi to close down to stop the spread of the virus.
Mumbai is also expected to see cinemas closing down as the city registered 5,600 cases Friday.This number is only the beginning and will likely rise in the coming days.
To prevent the spread of the virus, several states have imposed restrictions on civil movement in order to stop it from exploding into another wave.This will further impact the showbiz.
