RRR ‘achieved historic collections on the 3rd day (Sunday), especially in Gujarat.The film grossed over Rs 30 crore on Sunday with huge growth in various areas.
The film is also said to be the highest single-day opening since the pandemic corona.The film also records as a post-pandemic single-day record in each area of its release.The film also raised box office receipts.All the movies that came into theaters last week were priced at Rs.38 crore, but with the arrival of ‘RRR’ this week the number has gone up to Rs 40 crores.
Even in the South the film is reported to have a fantastic weekend.
The film has double the occupancy compared to the first day, which shows how much the audience appreciates it.On Sunday the hindi version collected Rs 30+ Crores and total collection of hindi version for first weekend stands at Rs 73 crores.While the film collected Rs 126 crores in the telugu states during the first weekend.
Trade professionals estimate that the film will gross around Rs 45-50 crores in all versions.
With this, the film is reported to have grossed over Rs 500 crore in its first weekend of worldwide release.According to some film trade scholars, ‘RRR’ was the No.1 film in the world from March 25 to 28 (weekend).
Since there is no other big movie for at least another week, this movie has the potential to create a post-pandemic record if the collections continue at the same pace.
