Jaipur : , Nov 19, 2009 – Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot referred to Friday’s repeal of farm laws in Jaipur as the victory for democracy and the defeat of Modi’s arrogance. He tweeted, “The return of all black agricultural laws was a victory for democracy and defeat of Modi’s arrogance.
It is a win for farmers, who have been protesting for over a year.He tweeted that the country should never forget the fact that many farmers died due to the pride and shortsightedness of Modi’s government.”
Another tweet from the Rajasthan CM stated, “I bow before all the farmers that sacrificed their lives for the farmers’ movement.” It is his sacrifice that has won this victory.
