San Francisco, Aug 18 : Social discussion forum Reddit has announced that it will open the doors to a waiting list for its developer platform.It is which is a collection of tools and resources for developers that will help developers who will help users and more than 100,000 active communities that are on the site. Currently third-party developers on Reddit are primarily siloed resources for communities they are interested in using limited resources and ad-hoc assistance.
“The Reddit Developer Platform will alter the way we do things.
The platform will provide an opportunity for third-party developers who want to create useful Reddit extensions that our customers will appreciate,” the company said in a blog post.
The Developer Platform team is focused on developing products that enhance support and flexibility for third-party developers.
The platform stated that it’s delighted to collaborate with its users to create applications that enhance the Reddit experience and ensure that those extensions are easily discovered and reliable.
“As we continue to grow and expand Reddit we’d like to maintain and provide the alignment with the people who are creating tools that are based on Reddit’s principles and values in general,” the company said.
“With the launch of our platform for developers, we’ll be able to provide an easy method for all to access tools and resources, join in our beta program, and receive the most appropriate answers to their queries, in a short time,” it added.
