The various development projects that are slated for the holy city will be close to completion by the time they are.

Ayodhya is, therefore, going to be the perfect example of the achievements of BJP – both in terms of development and spiritual terms.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who has been portrayed as an ardent torchbearer of Hindutva, will surely be announcing Ayodhya as an important accomplishment.

“Ayodhya will be home to the much-anticipated temple when general elections are scheduled.

Yogi Adityanath has been pushing development projects to the max and this will show the fresh Ayodhya for the citizens. It is certain that this will be the largest and most impressive report card for the elections of 2024,” said a senior BJP official.

It is clear that with a very fragmented opposition Modi’s continued popularity as well as Yogi Adityanath’s Hindutva inclination the concentration on Ayodhya will only strengthen the BJP’s power in the general election.

According to a top official Yogi Adityanath has been to Ayodhya numerous times over the last five and a half decades and is completely informed in with the pace of the development in Ayodhya, the holy city.

It is important to note that former chief ministers, like Mayawati, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have stayed clear of visiting the Ram temples due to fear that it would send a false signal to non-Hindu supporters.

A high-ranking official in the chief minister’s secretariat stated “Yogi Adityanath is a person who takes a an intense personal interest in matters pertaining to Ayodhya.

The annual “Deepotsav” event has grown with each passing year, and the redevelopment of Ghats has created a mystical appearance to Ayodhya. He examines the work of development in Ayodhya every few months and is not willing to excuse himself for mistakes.”

Yogi Adityanath’s strong connection with Ayodhya is a logical connection.

It is located 137 kilometers east of Ayodhya located 137 kilometres to the east of Ayodhya, the Gorakhnath Math in Gorakhpur located in Gorakhpurwhich is now run by Yogi Adityanath has been at the heart of the Ram temple movement since the time of British rule.

It played a key function in the Ayodhya movement under three mahants namely Digvijay Nath, Avaidyanath and Yogi Adityanath.

Digvijay Nath who was made a mahant in 1935, not solely made the mutt a hub of right-wing political activities and also became a prominent shining star of the temple movement.

When he joined the Hindu Mahasabha in 1937, he began mobilizing the Hindu community to support the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

In the night of December 22-23, 1949, during which the Ram idol was erected in the then-controversial structure Digvijay Nath was in attendance in Ayodhya. He inspired volunteers to begin prayers.

Before the time of his demise in 1969, Digvijay Nath gave the momentum to the Ram temple movement.

The mahant following, Avaidyanath, continued the movement to build the Ram temple. In 1984, he constituted the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Yagya Samiti to bring all Hindu groups and sadhus who are who are associated with the Ram temple movement together on one platform.

Being a student of Avaidyanath, Yogi Adityanath began participating in sessions of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Yagya Samiti under the direction of his Guru.

The task of organising the gatherings was handed over to Adityanath, a young Adityanath who proved his worth by inviting sadhus, heads of different Hindu religious orders, as well as scholars from all over the country.

Controversial issues such as the building of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the universal civil code, prohibition on cow slaughter and the anticonversion campaign dominated the agenda of the meetings that were held in the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh.

Yogi Adityanath was able to keep the temple issue alive in the east of UP by organizing Vishwa Hindu Mahasammelan as well as Virat Hindu Sangam in Gorakhpur and the adjacent districts.

When he was appointed the chief minister on March 19 in 2017, Yogi Adityanath made Ayodhya an urban corporation.changing the name of Faizabad to Ayodhya and began initiatives to promote tourism and facilities for pilgrims.

The ‘Deepotsav’ program in October of 2017, Yogi Adityanath declared that Ayodhya will be at the front of his list of priorities in politics.

The BJP on a national level, doesn’t endorse the Hindu agenda in an open manner, but Yogi Adityanath is unambiguous about his Hindu views and it’s this that makes him a favorite among his supporters.

He has been pushing Ayodhya to the center of politics.
