Tamil superstar Rajinikanth Darbar movie has failed to create enough buzz in Telugu.The movie will release simultaneously both in Tamil and Telugu on 9th of January 2020.
While the film is trending in Tamil Nadu, it hardly had any impact in the Telugu states.Apart from Kabali, Rajinikanth’s recent movies failed to make any impact.
Though 2.0 did generate decent buzz, it was largely due to Shankar and the VFX the film carried than anything else.Amidst the low buzz, the movie is all set to compete with two Telugu biggies.With Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru and Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikuntapuram Lo releasing two days after Darbar, Rajinikanth’s film is going to have a tough fight.
Previously, Rajinikanth films had a good to decent impact on Telugu films which released at the same time.But the actor’s poor selection of scripts and monotonous template of his films affected his market in AP and Telangana.
Adding to this, Telugu audience is preferring unique Telugu films irrespective of the hero over routine movies from other industries.Nayanthara is pairing opposite Rajinikanth in the film.
The movie is directed by AR Murugadoss, and produced by Lyca Productions.
