Director Jeo Baby’s critically acclaimed Malayalam film ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’ has got immense response and from all sections of auiences has become one of the most loved films of 2021.OTT platforms at first declined the film and has to be released on a not-so-popular streaming platform called Neestream and was then bought by Amazon Prime due to its great response.

Now the film has achieved such high success that it is in talks for a remake in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.
Tamil director Kannan is helming both versions of the film.The film’s remake has already started shooting 3 weeks ago around the Karaikudi region in Tamil Nadu.
It was announced that Aishwarya Rajesh will be stepping into the shoes of Nimisha Sajayan from the original.Now the team announced actor turned filmmaker Rahul Ravindran for the male lead role.
Looks like the duo is a perfect choice for the film and the team has done a good job in casting actors similar in terms of looks as well from the original.‘The Great Indian Kitchen’ is about a newlywed couple, played by Nimisha Sajayan and Suraj Venjaramoodu and how the woman is treated after marriage.Released on January 15th, the film’s music is composed by Sooraj S.Kurup and Mathews Pulickan.The film acclaims for its no-holds-barred portrayal of the traps of patriarchy and subjugation of women.
