Raghurama complained to NHRC against AP police for using third degree

Narasapuram MP Raghurama Krishnamaraju has recently complained to National Human Rights Commission Chairman PC Pant against Andhra Pradesh CID officials.Raghurama said that he was detained by the AP CID police who illegally arrested him and used third degree on him.A complaint has been lodged with the NHRC chairman seeking action against the perpetrators of such human rights violations.

It is learned that Bharat, son of MP Raghurama, has already lodged a complaint with the NHRC against the arrest of his father Raghurama.

The National Human Rights Commission also took the procedure of arrest seriously.The NHRC recently issued notices to the AP DGP and Home Ministry Principal Secretaries.It ordered to reply within four weeks.The orders said an internal inquiry should be held into the police attack on Raghurama in custody.

It directed the DGP to submit the report by June 7.

On the other hand, MP Raghurama Krishnamaraju left for Delhi after the Supreme Court granted him conditional bail.Raghurama Krishnamaraju, who was discharged from Secunderabad Army Hospital, has joined Delhi AIIMS Hospitals.He was arrested by the AP CID police on the 14th of this month for defaming the state government.

However, he was released on bail in the case.
