New Delhi, November 16th : , The Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police arrested two directors from JC World Hospitality Pvt.Ltd for alleged cheating and misappropriation to the tune of Rs 12 crore, an official said.An official stated that Ltd was accused of cheating and misappropriating Rs 12 crore.
The accused have been identified as Rita Dixit and Vijay Kant Dixit, both residents of Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh.

Rita Dixit (right) and Vijay Kant Dixit (left), are the accused.They both reside in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.According to the EOW, the case was registered on the complaint filed by Dhirendra Nath, among others, against both the company directors.The EOW states that the case was filed on Dhirendra Nath’s complaint, which included other allegations against the directors of the companies.

Dhirendra had booked two shops in a project “J C World Mall” launched by the alleged company in 2014.Dhirendra booked two shops for a “J C World Mall”, a company that was launched in 2014 by the accused.He had paid a sum of Rs 1.75 crore in instalments.Instalments of Rs 1.75 million were paid by Dhirendra.

The company promised that possession of the units would be handed over in 30 months from the date of the allotment letter.According to the company, possession would be transferred within 30 months of receipt of the letter.

It was alleged that the builder did not complete the construction work and no construction was going on at the site for the last 18 months.The builder allegedly failed to complete construction and that no work was being done on the site in the 18 month period.

The complainant alleged that despite having several meetings with the directors of the company, no purpose was served.According to the complainant, despite numerous meetings with directors of the company’s management team, the purpose of these meetings was not achieved.

The company allegedly through its directors cheated a number of buyers on the pretext of providing shops in its project.Through its directors, the company cheated several buyers under pretext of selling shops for its project.

The company did not fulfil its promise and has diverted the funds of the buyers and misappropriated them.It didn’t keep its word and diverted funds from buyers.

As the police took up the case, it was found that the company had launched the project in 2014 and had received money from the buyers or investors and promised to give the possession of the units within 30 months from the date of booking.The police investigated the matter and discovered that the company had started the project in 2014.

They had also received funds from investors or buyers and promised to hand over the units within thirty months.

Noida authority informed that the company had applied for approval of building plans for the proposed project in 2015, which was returned to the company with some objections and they were directed to provide the relevant documents.

Noida authorities informed the company that they had submitted building plans to approve the project’s construction in 2015.The company was rebuffed and directed to produce the appropriate documents.

However, the company did not respond within the stipulated period and therefore, their application for approval of the building plan was rejected.The company failed to respond in the time limit and their request for building permit approval was denied.

During investigation, it was found that a sum of Rs six crore from the buyers’ money was given to a sister company by this company.This company gave Rs 6 crore of the buyer’s money to its sister company.

After this a police team conducted a raid at the residence of the accused persons and apprehended both of them.A police team raided the house of both the suspects and arrested them.

Later, the police produced the accused before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Patiala House Court, who sent them to two days’ police custody.The police later brought the suspects before Patiala House Court Chief Metropolitan Magistrate.

He then sent them into police custody for two days.
