Moscow 16 August : Russian President Vladimir Putin has reiterated his goal of complete capture of Ukrainian separatist Donbas region, just six months after declaring war on Kiev. The President informed guests from around the world at a military forum close to Moscow on Monday that the Russian army is completing its obligations in the so-called “People’s republics of Donetsk and Luhansk” according to DPA news agency.
While Kiev claims Moscow of the most grave war crimes and bloody occupation strategy, Putin once again claimed that “the soil of the Donbas is being liberated step-by-step” from Ukrainian nationalists.
Putin recognized the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Luhansk as states independent in February, despite international protests.He then declared war.
The forum also included the display of Russian missiles and tanks.
Putin acknowledged the efforts of Russian arms firms in providing the army with “modern arms that work to win”.
The President, in addition to visitors from what official claim are 70 countries in total, declared that Russia had partners on a variety of continents who displayed strength and character and did not bow to the US.
