Puthiya Tamilagam Organizes World Hindu Awareness Meet-TeluguStop.com

Krishnasamy (founder of Puthiya Tamilagam) said his centre-right party would organize a World Hindu Awareness meeting in Tamil Nadu’s Senkottai to mark its 25th anniversary on December 15.
Krishnasamy stated that although the party organized a program in Chennai on October 28 against communal violence in Bangladesh on Saturday, the PT had not been receiving enough support to continue its agitations.

The PT was also not supported after it raised concerns over the 1995 Kodiyankulam incident in which 600 policemen invaded a Dalit village to confiscate all of their belongings and property. This had a significant impact on the financial health of the villagers.

He claimed that the Tamil film ‘Karnan,’ which was based on the Kodiyankulam battle, doesn’t mention his party’s protests or concerns over the matter, even though they were the ones leading the anti-police force agitation.

Krishnasamy stated that his party was not recognized for its efforts at the Manjolai demonstrations and that no film was made about the Kandadevi protests.

The PT leader also strongly opposed the use of the term ‘Jai Bhim” as the Tamil film’s title, and said it was inappropriate to be using such a social liberation theme.

He stated that the film invokes caste, religion, and language animosity, as well as questioning the Censor Board about its operation.

Krishnasamy stated that the Rs.25,000/ha state government announced to farmers who had their crop damaged by the recent rainfalls was far less than the actual amount and asked for a Rs.1.25 lakh/ha compensation.
