New Delhi : , Dec 26, 2006 – Workers from the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf have strongly reacted to Prime Minister Imran Khans decision to dissolve the partys organization structure.They also expressed concern about the new appointment of federal ministers, whom they feel are responsible for the failure in recent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa local government elections (KP).Dawn News reported. A federal minister stated that Khanhas created the new structure in order to reorganise the party and activate it so workers and voters could have active contact.
He also stated that the party model was being changed.
Party leaders maintain that those who fail to perform should be punished, but not everyone.
They believe it is high time for party leaders to boost their morale.
Dawn News quoted an unhappy party leader from Punjab as saying, “We are not able to understand why party organizations across the country were dissolved by a high powered core committee headed By Party Chairman Imran Khan.”
Senior party leaders from Punjab expressed concern over the decision.They believed that PTI would face significant challenges in the coming local elections as well as the general election.
The party could also be facing major difficulties if it disintegrates functional systems.
“The government failed to provide clean governance in KP and top politicians mismanaged the party’s finances, allowing their favorite candidates to get tickets.The party lost LG elections.Another senior leader complained that the party organizers were punished.
A PTI leader responded to the nomination of federal ministers to head party in the Centre or provinces.He claimed that these ministers failed to demonstrate their competence in their domains, and was now being given additional duties.
A senior leader teasingly said, “The government functionaries also have assumed political responsibility and it appears that all issues will now be solved.”
“Government functionaries are responsible for poor governance.But it is the political workers that have been removed with a stroke.
