Prominent cine producer Kamineni Prasad died yesterday.Prasad produced movies like Anveshana, Super Mogudu, Intinti Ramayanam movies on Ramkumar Arts Banner.
Along with regular commercial films Prasad has tried an experimental flick like Anveshana with director Vamshi.
Kamineni was remembered for his guts in film making.
When he approached Vamshi to make a film in 1984, the young director narrated a single line concept but the producer kept belief on the director and made a film.
Recalling about working experience with producer Vamsi said ‘’One day, producer Kamineni Prasad came to me with a proposal to make a film.
I narrated the theme in one line – ‘A suspense story set in a forest with four murders.’’’
He looked surprised and said, “I asked you to narrate a story.
” I told him for such films there are only a series of incidents.Incidentally, I am a bad story teller.So I wrote it.’’
Prasad’s native village in Krishna district movva Kamineni’s body was taken to pedamuttediki.
