Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently confessed that she hadn’t watched the Indian film “RRR,” which won an Oscar.“RRR,” directed by SS Rajamouli, was a huge success in India and also received praise internationally.
“RRR” made history by winning a Golden Globe and two Critics Choice Awards for Best Original Song and Best Foreign Film.The film’s song ‘Naatu Naatu’ won an Oscar as well.
During the Oscars campaign, Priyanka had hosted the “RRR” team in the US.
During a recent lie-detector test, Priyanka was asked if she had watched “RRR,” and she admitted that she hadn’t.She told Vanity Fair, “I simply didn’t find the time.I don’t watch many movies, but I do enjoy watching TV shows.I watch ‘Dubai Bling,’ but I won’t end up watching ‘Tar.'”
“RRR” featured Ram Charan and Jr NTR as the main actors.Priyanka hosted a screening of the film in the US and expressed her support for the film on social media.She posted a picture of herself with director SS Rajamouli and music director MM Keeravani, writing, “This is the least I can do to contribute to the incredible journey of this Indian film.Good luck and congratulations @RRRMovie.”
Priyanka also shared her thoughts about actor Ram Charan, with whom she starred in his Bollywood debut film, “Zanjeer.” She agreed that Charan is like the Brad Pitt of India and added, “Ram has immense charisma.I don’t know Brad Pitt personally, so I can’t say if he’s nice or not, but Ram is definitely a nice person.” However, she declined to choose who is more handsome between Pitt and Charan, stating that it would be unfair to Ram as she had a childhood crush on Brad Pitt.
When asked to pick between Ram Charan and Jr NTR, Priyanka “pleaded the fifth,” meaning she chose not to answer to avoid any trouble.
She explained, “I might have to plead the fifth on this one.Both actors are loved in my country, and I still need to visit there often.So, I’ll plead the fifth.”
Before the Oscars, Priyanka Chopra hosted a pre-Oscars event called the South Asian Excellence pre-Oscars bash at Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood.The event was attended by Ram Charan, his wife Upasana, and Jr NTR.Priyanka also hosted Ram Charan and Upasana at her home in LA, where they spent quality time with her family.
