Bengaluru 10th September : Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced on the weekend that the President Droupadi Murmu would inaugurate the Mysuru Dasara celebrations this year. “Mysuru Dasara,” which will be celebrated beginning September 26 will be opened by the President Droupadi Murmu.
She gave her approval to do this,” Bommai said.
On the 6th of September Bommai wrote to the President, inviting her to open the event.
The Presidential office has confirmed the request in a formal communication by the state government said.
The BJP government is celebrating Dasara with pomp this time after two years of Covid absence.
