Young Director Prashanth Varma made his directorial debut with a unique concept titled ‘Awe’ which was both critically acclaimed and a decent success at the box office.The film had Kajal Aggarwal, Eesha Rebba, Nitya Menon, Regina Cassandra, Srinivas Avasarala, Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Devadarshini, Murali Sharma, Roshini and others in important roles.
Hero Nani and Prashanthi Tirupaneni jointly produced the film under Wall Poster Cinema.
After the success of ‘Awe’, there was a talk that a sequel to the film would take place.
Confirming the same, in a recent media interaction, director Prashanth Varma said he expects to take ‘Awe 2’ to sets very soon.“I got several offers to make Awe 2 in Hindi and even offered Awe’s Hindi remake.
But I want to make Awe 2 in Telugu first.This will be my next project,” Prashanth said.
He also said that Awe 2 script is ready but it’s not clear if Nani will be back for the sequel as the producer.Prashanth is currently busy with a film based on Coronavirus which is nearing its completion.He also recently released the first look of his another project titled ‘Zombie Reddy’ which will be the first Telugu feature film on Zombies.Let’s see what more Prashanth Varma has in store for us with these films!
