By Archana Sharma Jaipur, Nov 29, : According to Rajasthan BJP sources, Vasundhara Raje’s posters with the words ‘Poonia Bhagao BJP Bachao’ on them at the rally have attracted the attention of the party’s high command.A detailed report has been sent directly to Delhi’s party headquarters.
On December 5, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Rajasthan, while party president J.P.Nadda will follow.According to BJP sources, the party is monitoring who is doing what, in light of stories of factionalism spreading throughout the party.
This issue has now been raised in the state for the first time, and party leaders have requested detailed input, a BJP worker said to IANS.
Raje recently organized a Mewar Yatra, which saw a large turnout.
Raje maintained that her yatra was non-political and was meant to convey her condolences for those who died during Covid.However, her political comments and the support she received from her loyalists raised many questions.
“For the past one year, my daughter in-law was unwell.Therefore, I couldn’t come to express condolences and have therefore come here for that,” she stated during the yatra.
BJP workers claimed that all senior workers had gone to offer condolences to the bereaved families of MLAs Kiran Maheshwari, Gautam Meena, who died months ago.However, Raje’s visit to them at the wrong time raises questions, according to Gulabchand Kataria, Leader of Opposition.
Kataria’s statement was viewed with interest, as BJP lost two bypolls at Vallabhnagar and Dhariyawad by a large margin.Raje’s loyalists demanded that she be named as CM face in the next assembly polls, and Raje’s Mewar Yatra followed.
Surprisingly Raje didn’t participate in any poll campaigns, despite being listed among the top campaigners.In between, Raje went to Jodhpur for condolences to leaders, and got her selfies taken with villagers.
“We have been attending condolence meeting but without any show-off; however, Raje’s condolence meetings seem filled with pomp and show; what is this sign? A party worker asked.
In the meantime, Amit Shah announced his visit to India on December 5, which will be followed up by Nadda’s visit in the following week.
Party workers are making preparations for Shah and Nadda’s welcome, but Raje seems to be absent, according to a party worker.”She is trying out the possibility of her return, but the party high command has been closely monitoring all her movements, but she is trying to explore the possibility.She has not participated in party activities for Shah’s visit to date and all eyes are now on December 5, to see what message Shah will send to party workers,” one party worker said.
