Andhra Pradesh police recently raided the office of YS Pratap Reddy, who was arrested in connection with the gelatin sticks blast at three quarries in Mamillapally, Kadapa district in Andhra Pradesh.YS Pratap Reddy is the elder brother of Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy.
Police conducted a search in his office in Pulivendula.
The police officials questioned the office staff too.The police asked a wide range of questions like, “How are explosives stored? Where does it come from? To whom will it be sold? To whom has it been sold recently?” Police inquired all the details about the explosives.
A blast at the Mamillapalli quarry on May 8 killed at least 10 workers.
YS Pratap Reddy was arrested by the police on November 11 in connection with the case.Police have intensified their investigation after discovering that the gelatin sticks used in the mine were mixed with pomegranate.
YS Prathap Reddy was arrested by the police who registered a case against him for moving the explosives without taking any security measures.He has mines in the vicinity of Pulivendula, Simhadripuram, and Lingala.
