New Delhi, Aug 15 : As India is celebrating its 75th year of Independence Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the Tricolour at the Red Fort amid a 21-gun salute fired by the gun developed by indigenously, the ATAGS on Monday.
In his address to the people at the Red Fort, Prime Minister Modi declared that the people are grateful to Bapu Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Babasaheb Ambedkar, Veer Savarkar and others who gave up their lives in the line of duty.

“This nation is grateful for Mangal Pandey Tatya Tope Bhagat Singh Sukhdev, Rajguru, Chandrashekhar Azad, Ashfaqulla Khan, Ram Prasad Bismil and our countless revolutionaries who shaken the foundations of British Rule.” he added

Prime Minister Modi added it was a significant day for India as it embarks on an entirely new path, a new commitment with renewed determination.”Every Indian is filled with satisfaction when they think of the power of the women of India and the world, be it Rani Laxmibai, Jhalkari Bai, Chennamma, Begum Hazrat Maha,” he added.

The Prime Minister has stated that the strength of India lies in the diversity of its people.”India is the birthplace of democracy, which can be troublesome for even the most powerful of Sultanates.”

“Our 75-years of journey have been filled with of challenges and ups, but the Indian people never gave up.In spite of the challenges that came after independence Nothing could stop the enthusiasm of Indian people.This soil is powerful.

In spite of numerous difficulties, India did not stop and didn’t bow and kept on moving ahead,” he asserted.

He declared that the centuries years of slavery has harmed India but because of the conviction of by the masses, India gained independence.”I have worked to make the people more powerful which was the aim of Mahatma Gandhi,” said the Prime Minister.

“India is an aspirational nation that is driven by an collective spirit.

People of India are looking forward to positive change and are eager to contribute to them.Every government needs to tackle the aspirations of its citizens,” he added.
