Thiruvananthapuram 15 August : Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday used his Independence Day speech to state that the entire nature of the country is based around the fundamentals of federalism. He was the main participant in the impressive parade which was part of the 75th anniversary of Independence.
Vijayan gave the salute during the parade, which was held right close to his office in the Central Stadium.
In addition, Vijayan of late has been a critic of the Centre and, when it came to the clearing of certain proposals he called of the Centre of the concept of federalism.
On Monday, he did it again.he utilized his address for Independence Day to advocate for federalism.
“The foundation of the United States is built upon the fundamentals of federalism.A strong Central and a happy state, in addition to the local self-government organizations changing into local governments is the base of federalism.
The proper care of the economy is also a component of federalism.When there is sufficient money available to accelerate development and growth, only the advantages of federalism will be felt by all people.” stated Vijayan, clearly stating his intentions.
While Vijayan made the salute here and his cabinet colleagues followed suit, he took the same salute at 13 district headquarters of the state in which similar parades were also conducted.
All across the US colorful parades and flag hoistings were held at schools and other organizations.
