She was last seen in Rajinikanth starrer ‘Petta’ directed by Karthik Subbaraj.

Before venturing into acting, Trisha was a model and had gained huge recognition after winning the Miss Chennai title.

Yesterday, Trisha felt nostalgic as she goes down the memory lane when she won the Miss Chennai title in 1999.Sharing a photo of herself with the Miss Chennai crown, the actress wrote, “30/09/1999?? The day my life changed… #MissChennai1999.”

At the age of sixteen, Trisha won the Miss Madras title on 30 September 1999.In fact, she made it all the way to the finals of the Miss India competition.

However, she did not win the title but she won the ‘Beautiful Smile’ award.
Trisha went on to make her silver screen debut with a small role in Prashanth and Simran’s Jodi in 1999.

Her first Tamil film as a leading lady was Suriya’s ‘Mounam Pesiyadhe’ that released in 2002 and Prabhas’ Varsham in 2004 in Telugu.She also made her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khatta Meetha’.
