Perth, November 21st : .The Women’s Big Bash League Season Seven final will take place at Perth’s Optus Stadium on November 27, 2012.
Perth Scorchers won the right to host the decider and play in the final under new WBBL finals systems.They now have a week to prepare and rest for the win. The Perth Scorchers have secured the top spot in the table by beating Sydney Sixers in Adelaide with eight wickets.It will now be determined who the Scorchers’ opponent for the final.
Cricket Australia’s General Manager for Big Bash Leagues.Alistair Dobson stated, “Optus Stadium is the seventh venue for a WBBL Final.The fixture will take place in Perth for the first time.”
He said, “We are thrilled to take The Final to Perth” and that the match would be held in an elite venue like Optus Stadium.
The stadium has a capacity of 60k people and it will host the WBBL decider for the first time.It also hosts the women’s Big Bash match.
The Weber WBBL Season Seven Final is a historic moment in competition history.He said that Perth’s fans are devoted to the Scorchers as well as the WBBL.
He said, “The League also felicites the Perth Scorchers led by Sophie Devine, their captain, and Shelley Nitschke on their secure position in The Final thanks to some outstanding cricket during the regular season.”
