The people of African descent are invited to participate in I-Day festivities in Hyderabad

Hyderabad 15 Aug : Around 100 men and women of African origin who are either living or settled in Hyderabad took part in the Indian Independence Day celebrations on Monday.
They swore the Tricolor in a ceremony organized by Amor Hospitals, a prominent multi-specialty health care provider in the city.

“The character of India as well as the qualities we hold make us Indians loved by people around the world.When India is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its Independence Day, I am content that our fellow citizens of African heritage have decided to join in in our joy by joining in the celebrations,” said Kishore Reddy the Managing Director of Amor Hospitals.

Reddy said that from the beginning of his profession, he has been treating patients of a variety of African nations.

“Today by participating in the celebrations they have shown the bond they share with India and also the confidence they place on the Indian healthcare system,” he said.

To commemorate India’s 75 years of Independence and pay homage to those who fought for and gave their lives in the war for freedom, Amor Hospitals’ family has offered its full support to the many programs initiated by the government to mark this day such as ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’.

The tricolor has been unfurled over the hospital’s building over the last three days.

The hospital’s management has urged every nurse, doctor and support staff to fly the Indian flag at their residences.
