New Delhi, Sep 7 : Pakistan has time and time again tried to cause conflict among Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs in India intelligence sources told.
Pakistan has previously resorted to attacking India through social media.

This time they targeted Indian cricketer Arshdeep Singh who was called “Khalistani” on Twitter to deceive Indian social media users.

Arshdeep was unable to make an important catch in the second over of the Asia Cup match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan on Sunday.

One of the Pakistani Twitter accounts that targeted Arshdeep claimed, “Arshdeep is clearly a part of the Pakistan-backed Khalistan movement”.

The majority of the accounts that targeted Arshdeep were originated from Pakistan and were running Khalistan propaganda against India.

Fake accounts also made to deceive the public into believing that India was in conflict with the Sikh community following Arshdeep failed to catch in the Asia Cup match.

The Troll army also played with Arshdeep’s Wikipedia page in order to propagate their malicious and misleading tweets about the actor and false information was also added.

Intent on causing problems in India, Arshdeep was the latest instance of Pakistan’s cyber army that promotes Khalistan as Pakistan’s intelligence department ISI continues to support Khalistani.Khalistani national forces.

This is not the first time Pakistan employed the term “Khalistan” to promote the spread of terrorism.Sometimes, Pakistan and ISI have played an important role in promoting Khalistani agenda.

An intelligence officer of the highest rank who monitors terrorist activity and terrorist activity, said to IANS that the ISI is funding pro-Khalistan-related activities such as Referendum 2022, which its website describes as “a campaign to free Punjab, which is currently under Indian occupation”.

An Punjab Police officer said: “Social media has become a problem.The media is being used to conduct misinformation campaigns, to launch movements such as Referendum 2020, to idolise (banned) organisations such as KLF (Khalistan Liberation Force) to raise funds and spread propaganda.”
