During the first T20 international match between England and Australia on Friday, when Australia was blazing through in their response to England’s first innings score of 162/7, at 69/0 in 7.5 overs, the television cameras moved to the Australia dressing room.
Over there, the batsman who was to come in next, Steve Smith was seen seated beside the coach Justin Langer, and with his arms stretched out upwards he took a nice, long yawn.
With the image now going viral on social media, Steve Smith has got support from an unexpected ally in the form of the wife of former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed, Khushbakht Sarfaraz.
She put up a post on Twitter with the image and captioned it, ‘Legends be like’.
This, of course, comes after Sarfaraz Ahmed was himself trolled on social media for yawning during a recent T20I match between England and Pakistan.There is also the infamous image of the Pakistan skipper yawning while wicket-keeping in the crucial World Cup 2019 match against India, which Pakistan went on to lose.
