New Delhi/Kolkata 24 Nov : Deepa Anappara & Geetanjali Shrie are among five nominees to this years 5,000 Euro Emile Guimet Prize in Asian Literature for works that have been translated into French.This Award is supported by Oxford Book Store.Hideo Yakuda from Japan, Mitsuyo Kuta from Japan, and NG Kim Chew in Malaysia are the other nominees.The winner will be announced January 20, 2022.
The National Museum of Asian Arts – Guimet announced the shortlist of five editions of the prize.It was composed of Regine Hatchondo (President of the National Book Center) and Pascal Bruckner, writer and essayist; Guillaume Husson, General delegate of the Syndicat de la Librairie Francaise; Jean-Claude Pastor; and Sophie Makariou (President of Guimet Museum).
