Orey Bujjiga Review: Just A Few Laughs With Yawning Feel-TeluguStop.com

Intro:

Raj Tarun had entered Tollywood with a bang scoring Hat-trick Super Hit films with Uyyala Jampala (2013), Cinema Choopista Mava (2015), and Kumari 21F (2015) which is very rare for any newcomer. However, he lost his judgement power and has been on flop track with eight consecutive failures.

Although he is moving close to the lucky producer, Dil Raju, his luck isn’t changing. With many hopes, he has come up with a new film ‘Orey Bujjiga’.

So, let’s see how far this film is going to impress the audience.

Story:

Bujji aka Srinu (Raj Tarun) runs away from home to meet his girlfriend Srujana (Hebah Patel).Parallelly, Krishnaveni (Malvika Nair), from the same village, flees from home to avoid a forceful marriage.Villagers spread a rumour that both Bujji and Krishnaveni have eloped together.Immediately, enmity ignites between the two families.Bujji knows about the news and searches for Krishnaveni to correct the misunderstanding.

However, both falls in love with mistaken identities and a series of comedy errors follow amid different characters. How Bujji and Krishnaveni know about each other? What happens after they know the truth? Did they finally meet? you have to find out on watching.

How is it?

The first half is passable but the second half is sleepy.

Analysis:

It has been seven years since ‘Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde’ released and the director Vijay Kumar Konda hasn’t come out of the dizziness.Anyone can get déjà vu feeling while seeing ‘Orey Bujjiga’ as every scene reminds several movies like Nithin’s ‘Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde’, Aadi Saikumar’s ‘Lovely’ and so on.The first half is passable with half-baked comedy but the second half is so sleepy that you would fall asleep before the end card. The director hasn’t worked on the script but relied on incomplete and insensible comedy scenes which are on the lines of Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde. The movie could have ended in a one-and-half hour, but the director has prolonged it to a yawning 2-and-half hour length.

Performances:

Raj Tarun was fine with his performance, but the better performance came from Malvika Nair. She looks beautiful and equally performed well with her husky voice.

Hebah Patel’s character is not a worth to mention.Veteran actress Vani Vishwanath as Krishnaveni’s mother tried her best to grab the attention, but her role is very limited.Senior actor Naresh, Posani Krishna Murali, comedian Madhunandhan have done such type of characters earlier in many movies and leaves no impact on the audience mind.

Technicalities:

The director Vijay Kumar Konda has continued almost all crew from Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde. However, he could not continue the same magic with his writing and direction team this time.Cinematographer Andrew’s vision is colourful and looks ok for a comedy entertainer.

Editing by Prawin Pudi could have been crisper. No single tune has registered from Anoop Rubens in this film.Production values from KK Radha Mohan are good.

Final Verdict: Better to watch ‘Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde’ again.
