S.S.Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ has been making buzz right from the moment it was announced and the hype surrounding is very high.
Recently, several speculations were being made about the sale of theatrical rights of Baahubali.
The reports suggest that the makers have already sold out the rights of few regions.The price of the rights is reportedly Rs 25 cr for Nizam, Rs 13 cr for Ceeded, Rs 7.5 cr for Vizag, Rs 6.5 cr for Guntur, Rs 5 cr for Krishna, Rs 5 cr for East Godavari, Rs 4.5 for West Godavari, Rs 3.5 cr for Nellore and Rs 9 cr for Karnataka
Now the film have created record in overseas rights.The overseas rights of the film have been sold for a huge amount, which no Telugu film has ever got.For the first time in the history of Tollywood, a Telugu cinema was bought for a whopping amount of 9 crores in the overseas market and this is just for the first part of Baahubali.The numbers shows the expectations on this epic film.
The film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka, Tamannaah, Nassar, Satyaraj, Ramya Krishna etc as the principal cast.M.M.Keervani is the music director and National award winner Sabu Cyril is the art director.
It is reportedly being released in 36 languages including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.
The makers are yet to finalise the deals of other distribution areas like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharastra, USA, UK, UAE, Japan, Australia etc.The film is expected to fetch another 70+ crores from the rights of all these areas.
