Mumbai 18 August : Emraan Hashmi, the actor who plays the role shared a picture with actor Akshay Kumar who he called the “OG Khiladi’ , on the set of the re-imagined version of the song “Main Khiladi Tu Anari’. Emraan has also revealed that the two of them will be seen in a dance-off on the re-imagined version of the track in the forthcoming film ‘Selfiee’.
He posted to Instagram and posted: “28 Years after the original.The original Khaldi with the latest Anari.This stare-down resulted in an off-stage dance.And what a dance it was.(Haven’t stopped Icing my feet since).”
Emraan posted a photo on the photo-sharing website where he and Akshay Kumar’s back is pointing towards the camera.The two are spotted wearing a bedazzled outfit and engaged in an exchange of stares.
The original number originates from the film of the same name in 1994 “Main Khiladi Tu Aari” with Akshay along with Saif Ali Khan.
Produced by Sameer Malkan The film, ‘Main Khiladi Tu anari’, was directed is also starring Shilpa Shetty and Raageshwari.The film was one of the top five highest-grossing films of the year, and was declared a box-office success at the conclusion of its run in theaters.
“Selfiee,” an adaptation of the Malayalam film ‘Driving License and also features Nushrratt Bharuccha.The Malayalam comedy drama will be released in 2019 and features Prithviraj Sukumaran as well as Suraj Venjaramoodu, among others.
Akshay will next be seen in “Ram Setu, OMG 2 Oh My God! 2′, ‘Bade Chote Miyan’ and the yet-to-be-named ‘Soorarai pottru remake.
Emraan is said to appear in “Tiger 3” with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.
