Representatives of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh Andhra Pradesh said that there was no benefit to the farmers with the crop insurance scheme “YSR Crop Insurance” (YSR Panta Bhima) introduced by the government of Andhra Pradesh for farmers in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Leaders and members of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh Raitu Sangham discussed various issues at a meeting in Guntur on Sunday.
On the occasion, they said that CM Jagan Mohan Reddy in AP was not benefiting the farmers with the welfare schemes being provided to them and demanded that the schemes be implemented for the farmers as per the guidelines of the Central Government.
Representatives of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS) expressed concern over the government’s neglect of farmers’ issues in the state and decided to put pressure on the government to resolve the issue.
Kisan Sangh secretary Saireddy said that as part of this, letters would be written to the governor and chief minister from every village in the state on March 4 and if they did not respond then the call would be made to the secretariat on June 6.
