Amaravati, 18 August : There’s no fact in the account of an unnamed private lab for forensics regarding the video call that was not recorded believed to be involving YSRCP MP Gorantla Madhav, Andhra Pradesh CID chief told reporters on Thursday.
Five days after the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) claimed that the video clip had been verified as authentic and not edited by an American-based expert in video image analysis and forensics, the state police denied the claim.

CID Chief Sunil Kumar told reporters that certain people had released the report, claiming as a forensic investigation.

The authorities claimed that the video that was recorded by a third party was sent to forensic analysts for analysis.

Sunil Kumar claimed that the lab didn’t say that the content on the video was not original.He claimed that a few people had twisted the research report, and then circulated the report.

The CID chief also said that the findings of private labs have no significance.He stated that the report of only a state-run lab is considered to be authentic.

He stated that MP Madhav has already clarified that this isn’t his video.The MP has also complained that it’s an altered video and that the police would take action over this as per the law, he said.

The TDP has released the report from the US-based Eclipse Forensics.

The report was signed by the forensic examiner Jim Stafford was released by TDP leaders K.Pattabhiram and V.Anita at a news conference.

According to Stafford who claims to be a certified and court-certified expert in video image analysis and forensics he was asked to establish whether the video was genuine or if it was altered or edited.

The expert explained the fact that the video was made through recording the video played on an iPhone.

“In conclusion, basing my education and training, experience and knowledge in the field of image analysis, mobile research and digital forensic examination , it is my personal opinion that the video shown in this recording is genuine and not edited,” is the text of the report.

The National Commission for Women (NCW) last week called on Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to take action against the MP.

The Commission received a complaint of sexual harassment alleged against him.In the complaint the MP is accused to have been involved in an explicit video conversation without the consent of the victim.

The legislator of Hindupur is denial of the accusations against him.He claimed that the video was fake and morphed.was circulated by a few individuals to smear him.

In the past, Anantapur Superintendent of Police K.Fakirappa that the video clip was not the original however whether it was altered or not is determined only after they have the original footage.

He disclosed that the video was uploaded by the mobile number that was that was registered in the UK and was initially posted in the I-TDP group on WhatsApp.

The SP said that since the footage has been posted a number of times on social media sites, it is difficult for police to determine if it is real or altered.

The SP stated that unless the individual who uploaded the video can be identified and the source identified, the video that is currently circulated could be altered or morphed.
