Young hero Akhil Akkineni was launched with a lot of expectations surrounding his debut film ‘Akhil’ which turned out to be a colossal failure.His next two films ‘Hello’ and ‘Mr.Majnu’ also couldn’t do well at the box office even after carrying decent buzz before the release.
Akhil is now currently working on his next film titled ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’, under the direction of Bommarillu Bhaskar and he has pinned all his hopes on the release of this film.
Recently there has been news doing around that ‘Sye Raa’ Director Surender Reddy has signed Akhil Akkineni for his next.
It is being said that Surender Reddy has been pitching the story to several producers which is to be made at a budget of Rs.25-30 Crores but surprisingly no producer is willing to shell that much of amount on Akhil as his previous 3 films bombed at the box-office.This is a bit upsetting as Surender Reddy has given a 100 crore film in the form of ‘Sye Raa’.
Rumors are that Nagarjuna himself could produce the film but there is no confirmation on this yet.The film is said to be an action thriller that needs to be shot in various foreign languages.This film will reportedly go on floors early next year as Surender Reddy is planning to finish this project as early as possible before he shifts on to his next with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan.
