Chandigarh 11 August : Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday said that no one can force holders of ration cards to buy the national flag with the ration. “No person is deprived of any service even when he does not want to purchase the national flag.
In the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan the public is able to voluntarily purchase the flag of the country,” said the Chief Minister in an announcement.
The Chief Minister took note of the complaint about the holder of the ration depot in Karnal that was directing people to purchase the Tricolour the Chief Minister instructed the concerned officials to make the public aware of the issue.
If any group would like to assist the state government in this campaign, they can reach out to the deputy commissioner in their district.
In the meantime the District Food and Supplies Controller has taken action against an erring depot holder Dinesh Kumar in Hemda village.
The supply of food items of the depot holder is also removed.
