The Chief Secretary of the Telangana Government, Somesh Kumar, has said that the spread of coronavirus in the state is under control as compared to other states in the country.Speaking to the media, he said that the number of cases has been declining in Telangana for some days.
CS said that CM KCR is reviewing the situation in the state from time to time and the govt is taking steps to make oxygen and beds available in every hospital.He clarified that there was no shortage of beds in the state, including vaccine and oxygen supply.
CS Somesh Kumar said that the city of Hyderabad has become a hub for corona treatment and people from all parts of the state are coming here for treatment.He mentioned that people from other states are also coming here for treatment.
He explained that there is a demand for 120 tonnes of oxygen in Telangana per day, however, CS said that they have made available around 400 tonnes of oxygen.
Somesh Kumar said that he had talked to the central government and asked them to send the oxygen cylinders and Remdesivir injections to Telangana.
He said that, currently, 11 lakh Covid kits are available in the state and RTPCR tests are also available in every district.
