IMD says heavy rains to hit across Telangana
It seems the rains have taken an interval after the people of Telangana suffered from heavy rains a few days back.Now, the people of both the Telugu states are shivering again as the news of Nivar cyclone broke out.Accordingly, the India Meteorological Department has also given a warning that there could be heavy rains in Hyderabad and across the State.
On Tuesday the IMD said several districts including Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Medchal would face heavy rain on Wednesday.
Besides, the report says there could be heavy to extreme rains on Thursday and will have Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning on Friday.According to the IMD report, districts like Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Yadadri-Bhongir, Jangaon, Nalgonda, Narayanpet, Khammam, Jogulamba Gadwal, Wanaparthy, Nagarkurnool, Mahabubnagar, and Vikarabad are likely to affect more with the heavy rains.
The cyclone Nivar may intensify further during the next 24 hours and crosses Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coasts by evening on, November 25.The severe cyclonic storm may cause a wind speed of 100-110 kmph gusting to 120 kmph.
India Meteorological Department has also directed municipal corporations to be alert and issue an advisory on restricted movement in specific areas.
