The Andhra Pradesh state government has extended the night curfew for another week across the state in the wake of the increasing number of Covid cases.The state government has issued orders to extend the curfew across the state till August 21.The night curfew will be in effect from 10 pm to 6 am the following day.Chief Minister YS Jagan announced this after reviewing the Covid-19 situation in the state.
According to the state medical health department, in the last 24 hours, 1535 new positive cases were reported in Andhra Pradesh.With this, the number of people infected with the virus in Andhra Pradesh has reached 19,92,191.
Also, 16 people died in AP in the last 24 hours due to the corona pandemic.With this, the number of deaths in AP due to the virus reached 13,631.
In the last 24 hours, 2075 people recovered from the corona.With this, the total number of discharges in AP to 19,60,350.
Currently, 18,210 people are being treated at various hospitals in AP.
On the other hand, schools in AP reopens from tomorrow.The Andhra Pradesh state government has made it clear that students must be sent to schools only with written consent from their parents.
