NHRC ordered to hold an inquiry into Raghurama’s arrest

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has become serious over the arrest of Narsapuram MP Raghurama Krishnamaraju.The NHRC recently issued notices to the AP DGP, Gautam Sawang, and Home Ministry of Principal Secretaries regarding this.

National Human Rights Commission ordered to reply within four weeks.

The orders said that an internal inquiry should be immediately held into the police torture on Raghurama in custody.

It directed the DGP to submit the report by June 7.It is learned that Raghurama’s son Bharat has lodged a complaint with the NHRC against Raghuram’s arrest.

However, recently, MP Raghurama Krishnamaraju left for Delhi to join Delhi AIIMS from Secunderabad Army hospital after the Supreme Court granted conditional bail to Raghurama.Union Health Minister Harshavardhan visited MP Raghurama Krishnamaraju at the AIIMS hospital.

Union Minister Harshavardhan advised AIIMS doctors and physicians to provide better medical services.

Raghurama was arrested by the AP CID police on the 14th of this month under tarnishing the fame of state government charges.

However, Supreme Court issued bail to Raghurama and directed the authorities to shift him to Secunderabad Army Hospital.
