Bhubaneswar 15 August : Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday announced that a new time of transformation has begun in Odisha. Speaking to the people of Odisha during the celebration of Independence Day, Patnaik said that the state’s achievements are opening the way for others.
Being a surplus of food from a state that is food insecure as an example for the rest of the world in disaster management, establishing an image as a sports hub , and giving 70 lakh women are the pillars of Odisha’s triumph, he declared.
“Our main focus is education.
Our school transformation plan has an unshakeable promise of an excellent education.It has given an opportunity for children to be hopeful,” said Patnaik.
Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (OAV) which was founded to provide a high-quality education to the gifted rural children is now very well-known in the present, he said, adding that around one lakh children are enrolled in 315 OAVs today.
The government of the state has built 50 hostels in the OAVs for 5,000 girls The Chief Minister also said.
The state is putting a particular attention to the recruitment of young people, Patnaik said his government is making efforts to fill more than 70,000 entry-level posts in different departments.
Odisha has been doing exceptionally well in the area of development and the empowerment of the tribal population.
To ensure nutrition security the state government expanded the millet program to 19 districts with an allocation to the budget of 2,800 crore the Chief Minister said.
Odisha is considered to be the sacred place of Jagannath.Odias never compromise their the regional mindset and work in the national spirit, he said, adding: “Sponsoring both men and women Indian hockey teams is the most exemplary instance of our nationalism.”
In celebration, Patnaik paid tribute to the freedom combatants, soldiers who gave their lives for security and peace of the nation, and also co-veterans.
