San Francisco, November 22nd : , Privacy-focused search engine DuckDuckGo launches ‘App Tracking Protect for Android’ beta.This new feature will prevent third-party trackers such as Google and Facebook from lurking within other apps. Hidden app trackers can be very creepy as they track your every move in the app, and can also track you when you’re not using it.

Hidden third-party trackers were found in more than 96% of popular Android apps DuckDuckGo tried.All but 87 percent sent data directly to Google, while 68% sent it to Facebook.

DuckDuckGo was selected to be the default search engine for Tor Browser’s highly secure chat platform Tor Browser.It is also used frequently in private browsing mode of many other browsers.
