Tragedy struck at the 35th National Games which happening at Trivendrum Kerala.As per reports a 21-year-old netball player from Maharashtra died in ground following cardiac arrest.
A player named Mayuresh Pawar collapsed after the end of the match between Maharashtra and Chandigarh.He was immediately rushed to hospital but doctors declared him as dead.
Mayuresh representing the netball team of his home state Maharashtra.The incident occurred at 1 PM afternoon when the Maharashtra team arrived to the practice court post completion of match with Chandigarh.
The young sportsman collapsed complaining of chest pain after the game and he also received first aid and was taken to a hospital where he died.Kerala Sports Minister extended his condolencesand said the state government would take all necessary steps to send his body back home.
The body has now been kept at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital where the autopsy will be done.
