National Spokesperson of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has gained attention for conducting an unimaginable ‘in-depth’ investigation against Sameer Wankhede, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Mumbai Zonal Director on various matters.

The minister went after the super-sleuth in the narcotics industry for producing false documents that were used to sabotage a job at the Indian Revenue Service.

Malik, through his media briefings that he has held since October, also accused Wankhede, of having questionable connections, raiding the Cordelia Cruise luxury cruise ship Cordelia on October 2.Malik allegedly let off select people or his close friends, and “targeting” movie personalities such as Aryan Khan (son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan) to gain maximum exposure with minimal recovery of drugs.

He had once accused Wankhede, who was allegedly going to Maldives to finalise extortion agreements with celebrities from the glamour world, of even going there. The officer strongly denied this accusation.

The Wankhede clan, now in a corner, moved to Bombay High Court seeking ‘interim relief. This would allow Malik to stop making defamatory statements about them publicly.
